Sharing the Blame: Is it users of SEO apps or is it Search Engines?
I confess. Prior to learning about SEO tools and site optimization field, I considered that Google was incredible. I Used Google to look for everything from friends, to visuals, to news stories to obscure gadgets and unquestionably trusted the search outcomes. Then I heard about SEO software and a whole industry dedicated to Web promotion, and my search habits changed. But even prior to that, having done some reflective analysis, I got an inkling that search engines, Google to boot, know far from everything, and share with the web community a fraction of that.
My Google escapades soon convinced me that Flikr is a more comprehensive image data bank, that with the help of social bookmarking tools I can get nice news coverage without the need to rummage through Google search findings (rummaging is more appropriate than Google search), and people search is best managed by Facebook. It seems that when I search for odd objects on Google, the results are almost always messy, to put it kindly. Try Googling for SEO programs and other SEO relevant topics on Google and you are almost prepared to surrender your self-control. I mean, seriously, what’s the relationship between SEO programs and online education webpages or Internet casinos? Fortunately, in my frustrations.
So when news of best seo tools software and the entire industry built around it entered my humble worldview, my doubts about domains coming up on page one of Google grew exponentially. Do they merit to show up on there and whose fault is it, Google or site promoters using SEO tools. The ethical dilemma is vast. Do I seize using my SEO keyword ranking tool or do I seize using Google instead? I decided that I can’t boycott Google just yet. At least not till the worthy rival enters the picture. For now I will keep juggling between Blekko, Google and the above methods to complement the SERP mess that Google is. And, oh,yes, I will continue using my SEO tools.
Truth is that SEO products is the reason why folks like myself get found on the net. intelligent as they are, Google search algos are not likely to find some little person and position his site highly. In this regard, I am a steadfast believer in SEO software and organic search. If it was all about the paid search, the multinational giants would demolish me before I knew it. And there are hundreds of organizations on the Fortune roll! But here is something else that annoys me and other backlink checker users, I am certain. There are people who invest in SEO programs and use them to sell shoeson employment sites and such. What we have is litter that not only permeates the net but is also well valued by Google.
What is the public reaction to this? They search for SEO tool reviews and will instead find irrelevant content. They get disappointed. So much for the “Internet democracy”. Does this mean that SEO application and service field is bad? Not necessarily.
The abusers of SEO products need to stop bastardizing the Web but it’s like asking hackers to stop hacking. The sad thing about it is that black hat SEOs are abusing the prospect to be noticeable on the Web that is given to the little dude like myself. For now people just have to treat them. We can only wish that Google will put more emphasis on finding the schemers unethically using SEO programs, and if Google doesn’t, the competitor Google will.
